Universal Analytics (UA) will be discontinued on either the 1st of July 2023 or the 1st of July 2024 for Google Analytics 360 users. As a result, Google will be transitioning to Google Analytics 4 (GA4).To ensure a smooth transition, we are currently in the process of setting up the GA4 integration. In order to proceed with the build set-up effectively, we kindly request your assistance in providing us with the Firebase Google-Services configuration files for both the iOS and Android platforms.

GA4 Migration Instructions
1. Create a new GA4 property
1. In Google Analytics, click Admin and double check you’ve selected the right account.
2. Click Create Property in the Property column.
3. Enter the property name, choose time zone and currency and click Next.
4. Select your industry category, business size and click Next.
5. Complete the form on how will your app use Google Analytics.
6. Click Create
2. Add a new Data Stream for your apps
1. In the Property column, click Data Streams then Add stream
2. Select iOS app or Android app
3. Complete the stream data:
a. For iOS: enter the bundle ID, the app name, the App Store ID
b. For Android: enter the package name, the app name
4. Click Register app
5. Click Next and follow the instructions to download the config file for your apps
3. Download config files from Firebase
1. Access your Firebase project on the Firebase Console (console.firebase.google.com).
2. Navigate to Project Settings and select iOS or Android.
3. Click the appropriate button to download the file for each platform:
a. Download GoogleService-Info.plist for iOS
b. Download google-services.json for Android
4. Submit your app configuration files
1. Ensure the configuration files have the right format: plist for iOS, json for Android.
2. Attach both files to an email with the subject “Update to GA4 - [App Name].
3. Submit them to our Support team mobile-support@navigaglobal.com
